Drain Wreck

At Global Game Jam 2021, Drain Wreck was made by five fellow university students (including myself) who are interested in collaborating and creating a game as a team. The Game Jam lasted 48 hours, and during that time we’ve been able to make a rather eye-pleasing art, with a unique game mechanic along with it.

Together, we’ve given our game ideas and resolved it from picking Drain Wreck as the concept was unique and fun. We’ve given the idea to make it stylized and use both 2D and 3D since we have talented artists that can make it happen.

My responsibilities were:

  • set up and maintain Discord, Trello and GitHub for communication, project management & planning
  • communicate with the team to maintain the design of the game
  • create assets established for the game, working closely with the rest of the art team
  • provide feedback to the team
  • model all bathroom assets
  • texture some bathroom assets
  • assist in setting up assets onto Unity

Royal Chair Brawl

The world is set in a battle arena, where different fighters come for a brawl. The characters that have created are the depictions of the game’s theme. The audience will play a fun and casual game, with a character playable of their choice, that they find the most appealing which they could use for the entirety of the match.

My roles consists of Design Lead & Art Lead in the first 6 months, to Design Lead & Producer for the duration of 6 months, totaling our game production to a full year.

My responsibilities were:

  • set up and maintain Discord, Trello and GitHub for communication, project management & planning
  • initiating discussions in the team about where effort needs to be spent to achieve our projects’ goals
  • communicate with the team to maintain the design of the game, such as design pillars
  • design and create assets established for the game, working closely with the rest of the art team
  • monitor the workload that’s distributed to the team, ensure it is on track, assist where it is needed, and give continuous feedback
